The National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies NANTA on Thursday 18th October 2022 officially Inaugurated the new executive members of the Ogun State Chapter of the association.

The event which took place at the Continental Suites Ibara, Abeokuta the Ogun State capital started at 11AM and was graced by Seamless Travels and Anchor Insurance who gave presentations

Otunba Tunde Adesokan, the Vice President representing the Western Zone comprising Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, and Kwara states who spoke at the event encouraged members of the association to remain steadfast and focused as the sector witnesses another difficult and trying time. Recall that some of the airlines operating in Nigeria have threatened to boycott the country due to the lack of Forex to pay their trapped money in Nigeria while other airlines have stopped selling lower classes to passengers. Passengers who must travel at all costs are now paying more than triple what they are supposed to pay for their flight tickets.

Dr. Olatokunbo Dagunduro, the National Treasurer of the association on behalf of the Board of the Trustees who swore in the New executive assured members that all hands were on deck to ensure that the Federal Government of Nigeria and the CBN release the airlines' trapped funds to enable both the airlines and the agencies sustain their businesses.

During the event, Mr. Olanrewaju Dada, the MD/CEO of Aerodove Travels LTD, was appointed the new coordinator of the Chapter, and Mr. Abiodun Olubode Sodunke of Simab travels returned as the chapter secretary. Dr. Alice Oludimu of Alicebrand Travels clinched the PRO and Welfare position, as Alhaji Yahya Adekunle Lasisi was reappointed as the treasurer.

Mr. Olanrewaju Dada, in his remark, commended the National Treasurer, Dr. Olatokunbo Dagunduro, and the Zonal executive led by Otunba Tunde Adesokan, the Vice President representing Western Zone for the job well done and their love for Ogun Chapter. He appreciated all the chapter members for their love, interest, and trust they had for him.

Dada who called for total support from members also charged them to be disciplined. He however promised that he would not disappoint them.
