Aboderin succeeds Agboarumi as SAHCo MD

The Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC Board has appointed Adenike Aboderin as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective from February 1, 2024. 

Mrs. Aboderin, a seasoned finance professional, succeeds Basil Agboarumi, bringing extensive executive leadership, financial, and management experience from both the private and public sectors.

With a background in policy/strategy formulation, financial advisory, and expertise in sectors such as oil & gas, infrastructural development, marine, and transport, Mrs. Aboderin held senior executive positions, including Director of Finance and Accounts at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) until December 2023. 

Her public service includes roles as Special Adviser in Ogun State and chairing the Sub-Committee on Social Issues for the Presidential Transition Committee in 2015.

Before her public service roles, she had a distinguished banking career spanning over 20 years, holding senior management positions at institutions like Skye Bank Plc (now Polaris Bank Limited), Citibank Nigeria, Premium Securities Limited, and Commerce Bank. Mrs. Aboderin, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) and the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), furthered her education with postgraduate courses at institutions such as Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School.

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, UK, Mrs. Aboderin is recognized for her proficiency in business, transportation, energy management, policy formulation, and strategic thinking. 

She remains dedicated to industrialization, job creation, and addressing Nigeria’s development, social, and unemployment challenges.
